On the Fourth of July, the United States celebrate its Independence Day. Whether you were born in that country or live there now, you will know this is the perfect occasion to celebrate the country in all its grandeur.
It all dates to 1776 on July 4 th , when the United States was formed. It all started when the original thirteen colonies claimed their independence from Great Britain. One of the country’s founding father’s, Thomas Jefferson, drafted the Declaration of Independence and the rest is history. The country grew and grew and it has become to be what we all know today.
This marvelous holiday carries a historic meaning of freedom and independence. It is a memorable time to recognize how fortunate they are to live in “the land of the free”, as it sung in the Star-Spangled Banner, the United States’ national anthem.
How to celebrate
The Fourth of July is such and exciting and spirited holiday! There are many things to do to make the Independence Day celebrations memorable for the entire family.
Many families head to the beach or enjoy a delicious cookout with their loved ones. Others might find themselves visiting a local Fourth of July parade, full of live music, food, and large crowds.
These events will be the most festive, so make sure to bring your red, white, and blue to flaunt your patriotic side!
One of the biggest ways to celebrate is by watching a firework display at your local park or stadium. These mesmerizing fireworks will light up the sky with colors of red, white, and blue, and end the celebrations in a spectacular way.
How will we celebrate
As many other families, we will celebrate with a delicious Fourth of July barbecue at the beach. We’ll be cooking some typical dishes like hot dogs and hamburgers, with a side of corn on the cob and coleslaw. For dessert, some red, white, and blue popsicles to fight the summer heat and because they taste delicious!
No matter how you celebrate, Fourth of July is all about spending time with your family and your loved ones. It’s important to celebrate your country’s Independence Day and recognize the significance of your culture and history.
