The Client:

The client is a leading force in education, specializing in providing state of the art, free resources for high school and university level professors and students. They contacted Lighthouse for simultaneous interpretation services including both equipment, interpreters, and technicians to assist during 2 days of sessions and activities.

The Challenge:

Our client needed our team to accommodate several situations: presentations, demonstrations, exercises with participants, interpretation of videos and one-on-one assistance when necessary. It was also important to not only be fluent in English and Spanish but also have knowledge with scientific language. Our technician would also need to set up in more than one location, with fast strike downs and set ups in different size meeting rooms.

A last-minute request was presented by the client for a half-day service on a third day. This request came in during the event, on a weekend.

The Client’s needs:

• Accurate interpretation from English to Spanish.
• Great technical capabilities and flexibility in setting up and striking down of equipment.
• Need for an extra day of service requested at the last minute.

The Lighthouse solution:

• Lighthouse’s interpreters were able to provide excellent service in all scenarios and with all types of interactions and material.
• Technical support was on point and was adapted to spaces available, including tight spaces.
• Even though the Client’s last-minute request came during a weekend we were able to quote, readjust travel plans and provide the service, letting the Client know of our availability for another half day in less than three hours.
